Hughes Zane Ltd. is a consumer product studio in London, founded and wholly owned by Davide Hu. We make things for people outside the industry — readers, subscribers, people who found us on their phone at eleven at night — which means the work is judged on whether someone finishes it, not on whether it demos well.

The studio started with Fill Your Cup, a book we wrote, published and marketed ourselves on Amazon. Everything around it was built the same way: the writing, the covers, the ad creative, and the two accounts that carry it — TikTok @fill_your_cup and Instagram @hugheswritings, now around a million followers between them. Running a book launch and a daily posting habit at that size teaches the same lesson repeatedly: retention is a content problem before it is ever a product problem.

That work now feeds the software. We design and build subscription apps end to end — onboarding, paywall, pricing, trials and renewals — and treat the first ninety seconds of a new user's experience as the whole product. We handle the entire chain ourselves, from the first line of copy to the App Store listing, which keeps the loop between what the audience says and what ships measured in days rather than quarters.
